What are the benefits of a Rail Pass?

Unlimited rail travel on the rail networks of the country(ies) covered
 Freedom to choose their itinerary
Freedom to decide when passenger wants to travel
Choice of 1st and 2nd Class accommodation
Special fares for Youth, Seniors and groups/couples
Special “Pass holder” fares for the reservation on High Speed and Night trains

 Reservations

Rail Passes do not guarantee a seat onboard each of the trains. To avoid standing up during the journeys and to enjoy total comfort without stress, we strongly recommend to book reservations in advance.
Reservations guarantee a physical seat/couchette/sleeper onboard a train, at a certain date and time.
Reservations are mandatory on most high speed, overnight & scenic trains
Reservations are separate vouchers to be used in conjunction with a pass
 Reservations are non-refundable and non-exchangeable
Please note that trains are extra busy during the European holidays, week-ends and peak hours.

Conditions of use

You must validate your  Pass at a train station in Europe before the first train journey.
It is not possible to validate the Pass themselves!
Pass needs to be activated within 6 months of the issuing date.
With a Flexi Pass (for example 10 days in 2 months) you can choose the days on which you  wants to travel within the validity period of the Pass. The chosen date must be added to the travel calendar on the ticket before boarding the first train, bus or ship of that day. To enter the date, the traveller must use blue or black ink, in the corresponding box on the travel calendar. If dates have not been entered, you could be charged with the full ticket price and a fine.
